Decorating for Christmas

I've just done a few little things to decorate so far, like setting out my cards from last year and draping beads on my birdcage and typewriter. That gel snowflake candle I got from Walmart smells like candy! So yummy and it burns slower than normal candles.

Also we put our tree up tonight. All I've ever wanted is a white tree with pastels and colorful lights! My parents had one when I was little and it's so retro and nostalgic for me.

Decorating our Bedroom: Before and After

My husband and I moved into a mobile home back in April. Obviously this is not the American dream but I am doing the best I can to decorate. Before we moved in, our master bedroom looked like this:

That classy bunk bed was left by the previous inhabitants. My uncle hauled it off to the dump. If only I'd known I could have turned it into a stargazing tree house! Too late!

Pictured below are the double closets in our room. UGLY.

Ok, so here is our bedroom after my aunt and I spent a weekend tackling it with white and gray paint, and my husband and I moved in all the furniture. We left the carpet because it is in decent shape for now.

 And here are those ugly closets. Crazy what a little paint can do!
